On the peaceful morning of Friday, May 6, 2025, I had the joy of photographing a beautiful extended family of 30 at the beach in Myrtle Beach, SC. We met bright and early at 7:30 AM, taking full advantage of the soft morning light and calm ocean backdrop. Their session had been scheduled for sunset the evening prior but due to rain got moved to the next morning. The clouds provided a nice diffusion of the sun since this wasn't quite the perfect sunrise time.
Early morning beach sessions are always worth the early wake-up—especially for large families who want to beat the crowds and capture everyone looking fresh and relaxed.
This session included a mix of large group portraits, individual family units, and plenty of sweet, candid moments. From proud grandparents and their grown children to all the cousins together and parent-kid snuggles, we made sure to document each unique connection while celebrating the beauty of everyone being together in one place.
Coordinating a group of this size might sound like a challenge, but this family made it look effortless! Everyone came prepared, and their love for each other truly shined in every photo. The neutral beachy outfits, relaxed energy, and real smiles made this session a dream to capture.
Whether you're planning a family reunion, celebrating a milestone, or just enjoying a rare moment with the whole crew, a professional photo session is the perfect way to preserve those memories for years to come.
