When I arrived to photograph Carrie and Jason’s newly renovated condos in North Myrtle Beach, I knew this wasn’t just another vacation rental project—it was a story. A story of transformation, family, and a deep respect for the memories that live within a building’s walls.

Carrie and Jason first bought what was once an old beach motel with the intention of simply renovating the six efficiency units and putting the property on the market. But what started as a business venture quickly became something more.

“When we first bought the old beach motel, our intention was simple. We planned to renovate the six efficiency units and put it on the market. We quickly realized that the building would need a full overhaul… But the moment we took down the old sign, something unexpected happened. Neighbors and visitors began stopping by to share their memories. Honeymoons, family vacations, childhood summers—the stories poured in. Instead of tearing the building down, they decided to preserve its spirit by creating three thoughtfully designed condos that honor the history of the property while offering all the comforts of today.

Jason designed the floor plans, and their children joined in every step of the process—swinging hammers, helping with demolition, laying flooring, painting, and even decorating. Every wall and every detail was touched by the love of a family working together.
