Here is a quick sample from a recent personal branding photo session that took place in Myrtle Beach. Personal branding sessions are for small business owners and entrepreneurs who want to use images to help build their brand and online presence. The goal of these sessions is to show off your unique personality and style or portray an emotion or vibe that is characteristic of what you do. Here is a great article by The Huffington Post on the importance of personal branding photography.
In this particular session, Tracy, my client, wanted some of her images to have an industrial setting because she is an Independent Journalist who reports on hard hitting topics. Some of her shots were serious because she deals with a lot of serious issues in her work. Other shots were more playful where she was smiling and showing her laid back personality. During our conversations prior to Tracy's session, she communicated to me the look she was going for. I then went out and scouted locations and sent her snapshots of them. I often do this when a client has a specific request. Tracy was very happy with the setting we choose for her and I feel we really knocked it out of the park. The area we chose allowed us several great settings in walking distance.
This session was so much fun. I enjoyed getting to know Tracy and learning a bit about what she does. These sessions are 90 minutes long, 2 outifts and multiple locations.
